In August 2019, there was a release of a new G-Shock model which stunned and got a lot of attention from watch collectors and the public. Many watch collectors referred to this watch as the Royal Oak of G-Shock. The octagon design reminded people of the Audemars Piguet (AP) Royal Oak design, thus how it got it's nickname as the 'Casio Royal Oak'.
This model (GA-2100) comes in different variations of colors. It's made out of High-strength resin material, which is reinforced with carbon fibers and the best part? It's only 11.8mm thin!
Here in Singapore the watch is highly demanded. It retails for around $169 Singapore Dollars, but impossible to get at retail stores. On the grey market the watch doubles in price.
I have had the watch for several months already and I love it! I would recommend this watch. It has a great build and the size is perfect. I have a wrist size of around 6.5cm and it does not give the chunky vibes as it's only 11.8mm thin. It sits flush on your wrist which is nice. If you do happen to see one in a store, do try it on. You won't be disappointed.
